Online Bingo on the High Street

Well-know UK high street retailer Woolworths is reported to have signed a deal with the Gibraltar-based white lable provider St Minver for an online bingo site. The fully-operated and managed site is being touted as a potential fresh-revenue generator for the brand.

Furthermore there have been suggestions made by Woolworths that this is just one step in their latest attempts to increase Internet revenue. Following a successful launch of the free bingo site they are looking to extend the range of games offered.

British bingo palace analysts are debating as to whether the online gambling market is well suited to the brand. Woolworths’s response is that its customers trust the brand and will enjoy this form of entertainment in a safe environment.

St Minver now has around 20 licensees and is reported to be enjoying strong performance. The company recently revealed that its involvement in the Swedish and Russian gambling markets has been fruitful through online operations.
